ARC Support Worker - Young People - Cardiff

Are you a passionate, dedicated Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting an ARC Support Worker to join a team based in Cardiff. 

Umbrella Rate: £16.85 - £25.28 per hour 

Duration: 3 months initially 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week (You will be working flexibly that includes some evenings and weekends)

ARC Support Worker role: Full JD Available

  • Direct work with young people aged 11 – 17 year old, supporting them to work on their family relationship to enable young people to remain living within their family home
  • Provide flexible and responsive care packages of respite, intervention, outreach and family support. This will take place in the family home and in the 2 centres
  • Provide evidence-based interventions enabling families to develop problem solving skills, resilience and achieve positive change
  • Provide a rapid response to children and families in crisis, enabling them to address and overcome the difficulties that have led to the family being at risk of breakdown, and prevent further escalation
  • Meet the individual needs of the family and young people
  • Provide emotion and practical support where necessary
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusting working relationships
  • Keep and maintain accurate, up to date records of all work
  • Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary

Essential Requirements

  • UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Experience of working with adolescents who present with challenging behaviour
  • Experience providing interventions based on family relationship
  • Must be flexible – includes some evenings and weekends
  • You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
