Leading retailer are seeking an Assistant Print Designer to provide assistance to the Design Team to create and develop appropriate print designs aligned to our customer and product development strategy as part of a design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • To create print designs interpreting appropriate trends and sales strategic information to meet range plan requirements and to design brief and critical path deadline dates.
  • To research, help assist and put together trend boards/colour palettes as part of the design team.
  • To assist efficiently in the development of product for sampling.
  • To assist in the coordination of print development, ensuring that print artworks are issued in line with the critical path deadlines and thus prototype examples are available for final sign-off.
  • To create prints and update them as necessary for relevant meetings.
  • To fully utilise the CAD system in line with best practice and training.
  • To become fully aware of the EWM customer priorities.
  • To be a team player and able to work in a busy fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate:

  • Keen interest for colour/print
  • Good knowledge of competitor & aspirational brands
  • Excellent CAD skills including Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • PLM experience preferable
  • BA hons Fashion Design/Print/Illustration/Textiles Degree
  • Sufficient DAA or Design Assistant experience with examples of design work
