We have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Farm Manager to join our team to ensure that the farm continues to perform to our high standards. You'll gain a good working knowledge of the farm and understand poultry within the business. With animal welfare being at the forefront, you will ensure all health, safety and hygiene processes are adhered to and support the Farm Manager in ensuring that the Farm Assistants are able to carry out their daily duties.

You'll support the Farm Manager in managing and monitoring ventilation, heating, feed, water and lighting patterns within agreed guidelines to ensure the highest quality atmosphere so that the birds can thrive. Organised and IT literate, you will support with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all matters relating to birds, food, and suppliers, ensuring that an adequate supply is maintained and controlled to acceptable levels.

With previous experience in a similar role, you will be a sound decision maker, who can work autonomously when required to cover the Farm Manager, such as during holiday / rest periods. You'll ideally have supervisory and people management skills and will be able to coordinate the work of other individuals to ensure the continuous working of the farm.
