The Cabin Crew Training and Compliance Manager (CCTCM) is responsible to the Head of Cabin Services (HoCS) for all training and compliance activities relating to any ATr aircraft, TSI and both Military and Civilian Cabin Crew. The post holder is responsible for the facilitation of regulatory audits and co-ordination of cabin crew training in conjunction with the HoCS and Head of Crew Training, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, or authorities. Further responsibilities include managing a team of Cabin Safety Trainers, supporting any training requests and undertaking observational flights as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the team assigned to training and compliance; allocating projects and duties, conducting assessments, PDR’s and observational flights as required 
  • Revise and maintain the company Operations Manual Part D2 via submission of NPAs when required. Recording updates for future amendments and managing process, working collaboratively with wider team
  • Maintain oversight of departmental monitoring in accordance with the company Safety Management System
  • Evaluating individual and organisational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
  • Develop and maintain good working practices with the Military management team, ensuring compliance with regulations/best practice and (mandated) paperwork is completed correctly, advising on all aspects of Cabin Crew Training
  • Ensure required action is taken in response to publication of CAA Safety Information Bulletins / Notices, recommendations and other relevant regulatory publications with regards to Training and Compliance 
  • Calculation of relevant departmental budget requirements and subsequent overview to include an accurate report to the HoCS when requested
  • Produce, revise and maintain relevant manuals or appendices and training material for leasing activities to ensure compliance with relevant authorities/regulations. Ensure compliance with leasing interface documents
  • Chair UG1 Cabin Crew meetings to ensure all stakeholders remain committed to delivering best practice training inline with, regulations & company and contractual obligations
  • Create and develop any internal training programmes required in addition to regulatory training 
  • Liaise with Thales for all cabin crew training, and attend Thales meetings for processes and procedures to ensure common practices

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  •  Previous recent experience in cabin safety management 
  • Effective leadership skills combined with the ability to cope with a fast paced, changing environment
  • Knowledge of UK CAA & EASA IR’s and other applicable regulations
  • Ability to manage projects and make sound decisions whilst working to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate a logical, analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities and service providers inside and outside of the organisation
  • Experience in supporting or leading regulatory audits led by the CAA or internal compliance department 
  • Experienced and qualified in Cabin Crew Training delivery including DFT Aircrew Instructors course, Presentation Skills and associated skills related to the cabin safety role 
  • Previous experience in monitoring, reviewing and interpreting all aspects of legislation or regulatory documentation relating to cabin safety and cabin crew training and implementing new procedures
