Class 1 HGV Driver at Pertemps Derby in Castle Donington, England

Class 1 HGV Driver

We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based near East Midlands Airport. As a Class 1 driver you will be working for a well known brand to help their trunking operations across the UK. This opportunity will provide drivers with regular work once you have completed a vetting process providing air side clearance.

Class 1 drivers will need the following:
+ A valid HGV class 1 driving license
+ In date Tacho and CPC cards
+ No more than 6 points (No TT, IN, DD or DR codes).
+ Have held your Class 1 license for a minimum of 2 years and have at least 6 months driving experience for insurance purposes

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will need to be able to work one of the following shift patterns:
+ Thursday to Monday
+ Friday to Tuesday
+ Sunday to Thursday
+ Other patterns could be considered

Most shift start times will start between 1200 and 2200 and drivers will be expected to sleep out up to 2 nights per week.

Class 1 HGV Drivers will receive:
+ Monday to Friday (Apply online only) 17.89 per hour
+ Monday to Friday (Apply online only) 20.39 per hour
+ Saturday (Apply online only) 18.89 per hour
+ Saturday (Apply online only) 21.39 per hour
+ Sunday (Apply online only) 19.89 per hour
+ Sunday 1900 to 0800 22.39 per hour
+ Overtime weekly after 40 hours is 26.84 per hour

Please note that drivers will need to have 5 years work history vetted and successfully pass a DBS and CO course.
