We are looking for an experienced product development engineer

Working hours Monday to Friday 9-5

Person specification Professional

Engineer with minimum qualifications at HND or Degree preferably in Electrical/Electronic or software Engineering. Minimum levels of educational background will not apply where sufficient experience and training is evident

What you'll do

Analysing existing products to identify areas for improvement and updating current documentation.

Propose and approve, where required, alternative components in company products.

Identify and liaise with suppliers to source suitable materials and products within the development function.

Work with key suppliers and attend market events to stay abreast with trends and opportunities.

Conceptualizing new product ideas by using CAD software where required to design prototypes. Testing products throughout the design process to troubleshoot any potential problems.

Fine-tuning designs until they are ready for production.

Delivering product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing & test teams for production purposes.

Produce documentation and deliver training for new products.

Contribute to the achievement of department and business KPI objectives.

Complete any reasonable task as directed by your line manager.
