Interim Contract Specialist (Greenspaces and Maintenance)
Based in Kent, hybrid working
Length: 2-3 Months (Potential for Extension)

We’re working with a proactive district council in Kent to recruit a Contract Specialist with expertise in greenspaces and maintenance. This is a key short-term consultancy role to review the council’s current service delivery model, assess options for future provision, and provide strategic recommendations backed by financial insight.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Contract Specialist:
- Lead a comprehensive review of the existing greenspaces and grounds maintenance contract
- Conduct soft benchmarking to assess service quality and value for money
- Identify and appraise a range of delivery models for future service provision
- Provide financial analysis of each model, including projected costs, savings, and service impacts
- Develop clear, evidence-based recommendations to support long-term strategic planning
Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Contract Specialist:
- Proven experience in greenspaces and maintenance contract management
- Completed a similar role within a local authority setting
