Help Desk Administrator – Permanent

Location: Chatham, Kent

Salary: £25,000-£28,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Reed Business Support are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Chatham, who are looking for a Help Desk Administrator to join their growing team. This is a permanent position, ideal for someone highly organised with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for incoming help desk queries
  • Logging and managing tickets through the internal system
  • Liaising with engineers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Updating clients on progress and maintaining clear, professional communication throughout
  • Monitoring SLAs and escalating issues when necessary
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider operations team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a help desk, scheduling, or administrative role
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A calm and professional manner when dealing with urgent queries
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
