Supply Desk are working closely with one of our reputable secondary schools in Chatham, rated Good by Ofsted, to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher (or talented General Science Teacher with strong Chemistry expertise). This is an exciting long-term opportunity starting November 2025, continuing until July 2026, with the potential for extension.

 About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons up to Key Stage 5, inspiring curiosity and confidence in the subject.
  • Teach across Key Stages 3–5, tailoring lessons to suit a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment with strong behaviour management and clear expectations.
  • Use effective Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies to track progress and promote achievement.
  • Contribute to a thriving and collaborative Science Department with access to modern laboratories and excellent resources.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS or QTLS, with a specialism in Chemistry (or a strong Science background).
  • Experienced in teaching Chemistry to KS4 and ideally KS5 students.
  • Confident classroom practitioner with the ability to engage, challenge, and motivate learners.
  • Committed to fostering a love of science and encouraging students to reach their full potential.
  • Based in or near Chatham, seeking a rewarding full-time teaching position.
