We are seeking a Financial Controller for a growing privately owned organization, requiring a hands-on finance leader.
The successful candidate must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant experience in statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance, and management reporting.
This role involves leading the preparation of financial documents, overseeing compliance matters, and managing payroll and company benefits.
Candidates should have proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally with a mix of hands-on delivery and strategic input, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates should have at least several years of relevant experience in a senior finance capacity.

We’re supporting a privately owned, growing organisation in their search for a Financial Controller This is a pivotal role where you’ll take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control while driving forward strategy and supporting business growth.The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with experience in statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and management reporting. You’ll be confident operating at both a strategic and hands-on level – equally comfortable preparing management accounts as you are advising senior stakeholders.What you’ll be doing:

Leading the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
Overseeing VAT, Corporation Tax and other compliance matters.
Managing payroll, pensions, banking and company benefits.
Driving improvements in systems, processes and controls.
Supporting the wider business with financial insight and decision-making.
Acting as a key contact for auditors, external advisors and stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally with exposure to both hands-on delivery and strategic input.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax and compliance.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
