Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, that is electrically biased, to join their close-knit team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out PPM, reactive & predictive maintenance/breakdown analysis
  • Dealing with high-speed production, processing & packaging machinery
  • Working on such machinery / systems as:- conveyors, silos, blowers, steam & boiler systems, industrial control systems, dryers, robotics, chillers, air systems, automation & control systems
  • PLC's - electrical fault finding
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, analysis & repair
  • Stores and spare parts management, use of Maximo asset care management systems
  • Dealing with motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, sensors, drives, inverters, circuits, hydraulics

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must be a multi-skilled engineer, with a an electrical biased
  • Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship - formal qualifications
  • Ideally HNC qualified
  • Able to react to breakdowns effectively, safely and efficiently
  • Both electrical & mechanical fault-finding capabilities
  • Ideally have worked in FMCG, fast-paced manufacturing
  • Dealt with hydraulics & pneumatics,
  • PLC - electrical fault finding skills
  • 17th or 18th Edition beneficial
  • Need to be self-motivated, team players, strong communicator, enthusiastic & driven character
  • Able to work on own initiative, sometimes unsupervised
  • Good IT Skills, use of SAP
