Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, that is electrically biased, to join their close-knit team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carrying out PPM, reactive & predictive maintenance/breakdown analysis
- Dealing with high-speed production, processing & packaging machinery
- Working on such machinery / systems as:- conveyors, silos, blowers, steam & boiler systems, industrial control systems, dryers, robotics, chillers, air systems, automation & control systems
- PLC's - electrical fault finding
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding, analysis & repair
- Stores and spare parts management, use of Maximo asset care management systems
- Dealing with motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, sensors, drives, inverters, circuits, hydraulics
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must be a multi-skilled engineer, with a an electrical biased
- Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship - formal qualifications
- Ideally HNC qualified
- Able to react to breakdowns effectively, safely and efficiently
- Both electrical & mechanical fault-finding capabilities
- Ideally have worked in FMCG, fast-paced manufacturing
- Dealt with hydraulics & pneumatics,
- PLC - electrical fault finding skills
- 17th or 18th Edition beneficial
- Need to be self-motivated, team players, strong communicator, enthusiastic & driven character
- Able to work on own initiative, sometimes unsupervised
- Good IT Skills, use of SAP
