Quality Compliance Engineer - RF | 40k-45k DOE | Chelmsford | Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Compliance Engineer to work on production equipment used for the manufacture of RF products, from standard to bespoke solutions.

Our client is known for being at the forefront of technology and they're a top player in creating cutting-edge products for space/satellite industries and healthcare.

This role would be great for someone with a great understanding of regulatory compliance and electronics/electrical engineering.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Focus on Compliance: Provide technical teams with direction and support to ensure all regulatory compliance standards are understood and met. Ideal for an experienced electronics/electrical engineer with a solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards, and how to meet them from an electrical and mechanical design perspective.
  • Emphasis on Product Quality: Ensure RF Power systems, processes, and products operate correctly and consistently. Track, monitor, and report on non-conforming processes and products, overseeing the execution of all relevant Corrective Actions, Deviations, and Quality Notifications.
  • The responsibility of a quality compliance engineer is to guarantee that, through efficient monitoring and control, customer expectations are met or exceeded. In the event that an escape occurs, the engineer also makes sure that the proper root cause investigation is conducted and that planned, tested, and implemented corrective and preventive action is taken.

Experience/Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with statutory regulations for global market products, particularly electrical/electronic systems.
  • Ability to establish compliance test standards, conduct and witness tests, perform diagnostics, and analyse findings.
  • Proficiency in explaining and defining compliance protocols to stakeholders and authorities.
  • Experience with CE/UKCA requirements and directives, including safety, EMC, machinery, and hazardous substances (REACH & RoHS).
  • Competence in compiling and publishing materials for certification submissions and collaborating with regulatory agencies and third-party accrediting bodies.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers to ensure compliance in new product designs and support safety assessments such as BSEN61010.
  • Experience mentoring project engineers in documentation for compliance verification and conducting formal BMS ISO9001 internal audits.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with quality management principles, including supporting quality activities and customer audits.
