Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Manufacturing Operative to join them on a 6-month contract at their site in Cheltenham.

  • Due to the nature of the role, applications must be willing to undergo basic security checks and be living in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Fully onsite in Cheltenham.
  • 20.38 p/h PAYE or 26.79 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.
  • 6 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manufacture high precision products from detailed engineering drawings for the aerospace industry.
  • To manufacture a variety of sub-assemblies for use with Ultra's range of high precision products using appropriate tooling and processes in accordance with the individual's scope of approval.
  • Setup tooling such as presses, drills, special to type tooling etc in accordance with controlled documentation, and in accordance with the individual's scope of approval.
  • To ensure that all build documentation is completed in accordance with company procedures.
  • To maintain training records in accordance with company procedure as evidence of work carried out.
  • Full understanding of the expectations and requirements of being an Ultra PCS certified Stamp Holder.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with the relevant drawings, manufacturing instructions process sheets and specifications.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Familiar with Code of Practices and IPC620A Standards - not essential as training will be provided.
  • Previous experience in a precision assembly environment
