A newly-created Finance Manager position in a growing and acquisitive Cheltenham service provider. An opportunity to manage a small sized team, overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring that processes are fit for purpose and robust and taking ownership for month and year-end. This role will really appeal to those who enjoy process improvement, people management and development and working in a high change environment.
Key responsibilities
- Month-end reporting and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Leading the annual audit for all entities
- Oversight of financial operations including AP, AR and banking
- Developing and reviewing KPIs
- Developing and implementing robust policies and procedures to improve efficiencies
- Leading and developing a small sized team
Candidate profile
- A qualified accountant with experience of coaching and leading teams
- Experience of producing management and statutory accounts
- A strong problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
- A good level of proficiency with Excel
- Knowledge of how to use systems to leverage efficiencies
