The Company

Search Finance and Accounting have partnered with a SME services company to recruit an experienced Transactional Finance Manager to lead their finance function. This role is pivotal in leading the transactional finance team which is made up of purchase and sales ledger.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will extensive management experience and be able to lead and develop existing skills as well as develop processes and controls as the company continues to grow rapidly.

The Profile

My client is looking for someone who can lead from the front, able to build strong relationships liaising with their teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders. You will have the end-to-end responsibility to ensure proactive debtor cash collection and supplier payment management thereby optimising the cash flow for the business.

The Role

  • Overall responsibility of weekly and monthly credit and debit process
  • Oversight and delivery of the month end revenue recognition and close process including reconciliations of all AR related balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure collection of cash in a timely manner, management of aged debt and limit the company's exposure to bad debt.
  • Ensure all team tasks are carried out correctly and on time including but not limited to the processing of invoices, payment runs and AP ledger reconciliation.
  • Prepare and/or review weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Ownership of the payment run process prepared by the AP team to ensure weekly payment runs are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecast and identify risks and opportunities to Senior Finance Directors.
