Job Opportunity: Paint Sprayer

Location: Cheltenham

Salary: 24,000 - 27,000 DOE

Job Duties:

Production:

  • Follow technical paint instructions/processes meticulously
  • Meet production targets consistently
  • Apply prime finish and top finish coatings proficiently
  • Load/unload components efficiently
  • Perform associated paint/processing functions/processes diligently

Communicating:

  • Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving
  • Report unresolved issues promptly to the line manager
  • Share technical knowledge with team members
  • Participate in external audits (e.g., Nadcap, BSI, customers) and internal process improvement programs

Knowledge and Understanding:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and documents accurately
  • Familiarity with AS9100/Nadcap standards
  • Knowledge of first-off inspection procedures
  • Basic spraying skills are required, with training provided as necessary; attention to detail is crucial

Compliance:

  • Adhere strictly to production, safety, and quality procedures
  • Complete daily compliance checks meticulously

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Understanding of AS9100 and, where applicable, Nadcap
  • Numerical proficiency
  • Experience in aerospace/automotive paint spraying with knowledge of paint application procedures

Personal Attributes/Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work accurately with keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
