A specialist SEMH school is seeking Teaching Assistants or Mental Health Support Assistants to join their team. SEMH schools offer a tailored learning environment designed to meet the unique social, emotional, and mental health needs of their students, helping them manage their emotions, behaviour, and learning challenges.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced educators and support staff to provide essential support within the classroom, assisting pupils who may have faced adverse childhood experiences and who struggle with issues like anxiety and stress, which can impact their attendance and engagement.

Responsibilities of a Mental Health Support Assistant:
- Provide emotional and mental health support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

- Collaborate with teachers to ensure every child receives personalised care and support.
- Be willing to use restorative practices as a way to develop a safe and supportive environment where every child is included and supported.
