Salary: £36,000-£40,000

Working hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Term time only (42 weeks per year)

About the role:

Halcyon Health and Social Care are recruiting on behalf of our client, a charitable organisation that prides itself on recognising the aspirations of young adults with complex physical and learning disabilities. As Service Manager, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of the students, ensuring a seamless operation of the day service. You will be part of an innovative and caring organisation that empowers students to achieve their full potential. In this fulfilling role, you will lead a team committed to excellence in care and support, creating a real impact. You will be responsible for managing budgets effectively and developing engaging social and educational activities tailored to the needs of each student. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations and support the head of service.
  • Ensure exceptional, individualised care for all students.
  • Develop and organise engaging social and educational activities.
  • Manage and support a skilled staffing team.
  • Collaborate with various departments to meet student needs.
  • Effectively manage budgets to maximise student support.
  • Conduct assessments, create care plans and perform risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and care records.
  • Administer medication and ensure safe medication management.
  • Promote positive behaviour and address issues promptly.
  • Ensure staff receive necessary training and professional development.

Skills and qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 4+ Registered Managers Award or a Diploma Level 5 in Health & Social Care, with a minimum of four years' experience in care services, including three years in a senior role. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. We seek a candidate who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with disabilities.
