Qualified Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher - Chester Area

Salary: 120 - 190 per day

About the Role:
Simply Education is looking for enthusiastic and skilled Qualified Modern Foreign Languages Teachers to join schools in the Chester area. If you have a passion for languages and enjoy inspiring students to develop communication skills and cultural awareness, this role is perfect for you.
Whether you seek full-time or part-time work, you will be delivering high-quality language instruction and supporting students to gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach interactive MFL lessons (French, Spanish, German, or other languages) that encourage active participation.
- Assessment & Feedback: Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid language acquisition.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
- Differentiation: Adapt teaching to meet the needs of SEN, EAL, and varying ability students.
- Collaboration: Work with language department colleagues to share resources and best practices.
- Cultural Enrichment: Promote cultural understanding and appreciation through language learning.
- Professional Development: Keep up to date with current language teaching methodologies and technology.
Key Skills & Qualities:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in at least one modern foreign language (French, Spanish, German, etc.).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to differentiate teaching for diverse learner needs.
- Enthusiasm for language and culture.
- Patience and creativity in engaging students.
Essential Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching MFL in accordance with the UK national curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
Desirable:
- Experience preparing students for GCSE or A-Level language exams.
- Knowledge of language learning technologies and digital tools.
- Experience organising language trips or cultural activities.
