Mechanical Engineer

Urenco; trusted, long-term supplier to the nuclear industry, specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services, are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Plant Facing) on a contract basis (inside IR35), to be based in Capenhurst near Chester. Rate: £50-60 Umbrella (Inside IR35) The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience in a high hazard industry, with Chemical/Nuclear experience and chartership preferred. Role will be working with the plant facing engineering team to: • Provide support to operations and maintenance in achieving production targets • Support reliability program in identifying and delivering maintenance improvements, and upgrading obsolete equipment • Ensuring that all work is completed safely, and to a high standard Role will provide support to the Senior Responsible Mechanical Engineer in delivering regulatory compliance, containment integrity and reliability for the site mechanical assets. Part of the role will also be to support the UCP Asset Integrity Project Manager in the maintenance of mechanical standards and procedures and also be a conduit to feed larger maintenance improvement projects into the site capital process. • Deliver small to medium sized maintenance improvement projects with support where required • Provide technical input to Root Cause Analysis for mechanical equipment failure, in order to drive the elimination of plant failures • Support the site inspection program for mechanical plant. • Involvement in the development of technical specifications for UCP planners for both day to day plant maintenance activities and outages Please be aware that this contract position is subject to passing: • Security Clearance • Medical, drug and alcohol tests Still curious?
