We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to work our client at their customers facility in Cheshire, this is an exciting opportunity involved in ensuring delivery of projects managing cost and quality; whilst acting as the link between customers and business.

The role will be heavily involved in coordinating the various areas of the organisation involved in accordance with the provisions of the project management process and would suit someone who has a technical engineering background and a proven track record in supporting design teams and stakeholder management.  

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate definition of scope, time and costs associated with the project in line with customer expectations
• Carry out projects according to the procedures and management rules defined and in line with the responsibilities assigned to them.
• Ensure compliance with project objectives avoiding deviations
• Identify project risks, minimizing its effect applying corrective measures
• Leading an efficient communication with the customer.           

Other Areas of Responsibility Include:

• Identifying business opportunities in existing customers
• Get useful information on strategies and actions of competitors                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
• Develop robust offerings and economically appropriate to customer needs
• Participate actively in deals and monitoring in coordination with the commercial
• Ensuring the economic objectives of the project
• Report to Finance economic deviations in the project and support the management of collections
• Lead the assigned work team with a coordinated and efficient managing.
• Ensure effective communication with internal team
• Ensure coordination with the responsible functional human resources needed to cover the project load.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, high value projects
• Knowledge across automation industry and industrial process industry
• Professional Project Management Qualification
• Proven ability to manage relationships between organisations with different priorities and find ways forward that all parties are content with.
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Excellent IT skills, to include MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
• Willing and able to travel when required by the business
