Office Receptionist

Urenco; trusted, long-term supplier to the nuclear industry, specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services, are looking for an office receptionist on a long term contract basis, to be based in Birchwood on technology park. This role will be 4 days a week, typically Monday to Friday with the need for someone who is flexible. With the acquisition of an office in Birchwood Technology Park, a role has arisen for a receptionist to support the smoothe functioning of the office both for the benefit of employees and visitors to the premises. The successful candidate will have ideally had previous similar experience or experience of working in an administrative role.The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Perform reception duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Answer, direct calls and take messages.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised front office area.
  • Communicate and liaise verbally between clients/suppliers/visitors and staff.
  • Order and maintain stocks of relevant office supplies. Keeps stock records and raises PR’s as necessary to replenish requirements and processing invoices through SAP system.
  • Perform other routine administrative tasks as as required.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and scanning documents and maintain company archiving filing system.
  • Manage incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Provide support to other team members as required.
  • Assist in organising company events or meetings. booking meeting rooms.
  • Update and organise visitor logs and other front office records.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to security protocols and all visiting clients/suppliers have the appropriate supporting documentation
  • Books rooms and conference facilities for visitis. Able to advise visitors of local transport routes, connections and hotel

The ideal candidate would have the following skills:

  • Good all round basic education
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams).
  • Good organisational and time managements skills.
  • Able to work under own initiative.
  • Pleasant and professional at all times.
  • Initiative and excellent interpersonal skills.

This role is subject to passing:

  • Security Clearance
  • Medical, drug and alcohol tests
