Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Draig recruitment have full-time role for a Teaching Assistant with experience in Autism.

This is a large well-resourced special needs school catering for children ages 3-19 with autism and complex needs. Our client is seeking applicants who are friendly and have a passion to help others with additional learning needs. Can you naturally build a rapport and create positive relationships with students, then this job role might be ideal for you! Initially, you will work temporarily, however the position could go permanent after 12 weeks for the right applicant.

Hours of work between Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Pays a min of £80-£90 per day.

To be considered for this role you will need:

·Experience working with children or young people

·Experience of supporting children or young people with autism and complex needs

·Knowledge of EHCP’s (Educational Health Care Plans) and supporting students in achieving their learning goals.

·Promote a positive and nurturing environment for students, fostering their personal and social development

·Be supportive, sensitive and resilient in managing challenging situations

·Ability to use de-escalation techniques

Additional requirements:

·Eligibility to work in the UK

·References confirming suitability for role

·Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willing to apply

·Safeguarding training or willing to take a free course with us
