Looking for a new challenge in Electrical Engineering? Our client, have over 20 years experience of providing Automation and Electrical Solutions various industries which include, Energy, Pharmaceutical, FMCG and Manufacturing.

We are exclusively looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer (Protection and Control) to join their team in Derbyshire, to deliver innovative solutions and services to the Energy sector. Remote working may be considered. Must have UK right to work.

As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the exciting responsibility of leading a team of engineers to deliver exceptional customer Protection & Control (P&C) requirements. Your expertise and knowledge will ensure compliance with relevant National/International standards, legislation, and contract specifications. If you have significant experience in P&C design in a NERS certified environment or for a major UK utility, along with detailed knowledge of UK-specific P&C schemes up to 132 kV, then this role is perfect for you!

Responsibilities:* Lead a team of engineers to deliver customer P&C requirements* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and contract specifications* Oversee the preparation and approval of all required drawings* Design work with regards to Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures* Examine contract documentation and identify the Company's scope of work* Contribute to Design Review / Contract Close-out Meetings* Collaborate with Engineers, Designers, and Junior Engineers

Qualifications:* Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical engineering* MIET* Significant experience in Protection and Control design* Detailed knowledge of UK-specific P&C schemes up to 132 kV* Experience liaising with customers and suppliers* Ability to process/review calculations to demonstrate integrity of designs* Leadership skills and experience managing a team of engineers* Experience with Protection Relay Test Equipment* Experience in P&C FEED or detailed design of high voltage (11kV to 132kV)
