The Best Connection Chesterfield have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our clients as aElectronics Engineer in the New Product Development department.

About the client:

Our client has over 35 years experience in their field and are a leading manufacturer and supplier of their products. Their products are produced in the UK and dispatched worldwide. The products they supply help improve the lives of their uses across the global.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated candidate to join their growing team. This position would be a great opportunity for a degree level electronics graduate.

The Role:

You will join their busy product development team as an electronics engineer and will be required to develop your own new electronic products and suggest improvements on current items on the market. You will nurture products from research stage all the way through to the design, prototyping, manufacturing, and marketplace stages. You will be expected to work with the wider team to gather ideas, market research and statistics to develop your products.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking part in the initiation of new products.
  • Creating detailed product specifications, designs, prototypes and software.
  • Briefing suppliers and manufacturers to meet required deadlines.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external bodies.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and design concepts.
  • Experienced in the design of PCB and products with embedded electronics. (Advantageous)
  • Ability to use Solidworks for CAD designs.
  • Ability to spot trends and analyse data.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Creative and innovative.
