Sewell Wallis are working with an innovative manufacturing company in Chesterfield looking to recruit a qualified Finance Director.

The job;
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Director will oversee all financial aspects of business operations. This hands-on role encompasses managing a small transactional team while providing strategic financial guidance to drive business growth.
- Lead and manage the finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the accurate and timely execution of financial tasks.
- Oversee the full accounts function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Develop robust financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and senior management team to develop financial strategies that support business objectives and drive profitability.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function to enhance overall performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to support decision-making and ensure alignment of financial goals with operational objectives.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Number 1 experience or potentially an experienced Financial Controller ready to progress
- SME Manufacturing experience
Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to 90,000
- 36 hours a week with a 1.30pm finish on Fridays
