Interaction Recruitment are working with a well established company based in Chesterfield who due to expansion are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Mechanical Fitter: Salary: £38k per annum + overtime and shift allowance Working on a 3 shift pattern of Days 6am - 2pm, Afters 2pm - 10pm, and Nights 10pm - 6am Shift allowance is paid for days and afters and a higher rate is paid for night shift Weekly production bonus & Yearly attendance bonus Mechanical Fitter Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain all factory equipment and machinery in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Mechanical maintenance, service and repair of automated plant including conveyors,heavy presses, induction furnaces, roll-over and heat treatment machinery and more.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic fault find and repair.
  • Motors, pumps, valves,bearings, belts etc..
  • Use of tool-room equipment to machine new and /or replacement parts.
  • Basic welding & fabrication.
  • Ensure the workshop area is maintained according to housekeeping standards.
  • Understand and follow departmental operating procedures.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying manufacturing breakdowns.
  • Working to a preventative maintenance schedule as well as working on breakdowns and projects.
  • You should be a time served Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter ideally with experience of repairing or refurbishing electric motors and/or large equipment.
