Interaction Recruitment are working with a well established company based in Chesterfield who due to expansion are looking for a Production Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Salary: £35k - £45k

Working Monday - Friday Days only
Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 16:45pm
Friday - 7:30am - 3pm

Must have Fabrication and Production planning knowledge to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control all factory staff to ensure that they are properly motivated, trained, and carry out their responsibilities to a high standard, and in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Co-Ordinate all aspect of production operations, to ensure that output and quality delivery targets are achieved.
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency.
  • Liaising on a daily basis with the Director on production and business activities and supporting them with their requirements.
  • Management of the yearly ISO9001 audit in relation to documentation, calibration and PAT testing of equipment.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Maintain and instruct overtime on a weekly basis based on production output required.
  • Handle all aspects of employee disciplinary's.
  • Maintain quality standards on all products.
  • Daily morning meetings and detailed production reports.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong proven experience in staff management and working in a engineering production environment.
  • Able to develop effective working relationships with all employees.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety expectations and requirements within an engineering environment.
  • Strong skills in prioritising and organising.
  • Have previous experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Be able to identify possibilities for improvements, future investments and opportunities to streamline production for efficiency and to enhance quality and reduce turnaround times.
  • Experience within an ISO9001 organisation, maintaining the high standards and quality of information required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working within a fabrication an/or machining shop environment.
  • Engineering background.
