Job Description

Casino games often tend to look similar. This studio believes in making casino games that stand out. For that, it takes people who stand out. They are currently seeking a Games Mathematician who is eager to join their fight against industry monotony.

The successful candidate will join one of the most exciting new gaming businesses and studios, bringing extra life to games by adding world-class math. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced mathematician with a desire to develop the next great gaming mechanic while challenging themselves and the industry with new and exciting games that stand out in a growing sea of sameness.

The candidate will be qualified and experienced in all aspects of game mathematics. They should be highly motivated, a team player, possess excellent analytical skills and a proven track record, as well as a thirst to work side-by-side with the team developing some of the world’s greatest games.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that their math profiles are engaging and exciting for players, matching the target parameters they will help to set, while ensuring the game is mathematically and mechanically compliant in all jurisdictions the studio operates within.
  • Be mathematically and game mechanically aware of market trends and collate market-leading ideas for math designs and improvements.
  • Establish specifications (Math Design / Profiling Document) for the games and along with architects and requirements analysts to ensure that Game Studios receive the necessary information to produce the game.
  • Be responsible for meeting targets, goals, and objectives for their game productions, according to the Game Roadmap.
  • Actively collaborate with Team Management in the Game Studios and suggest new game ideas and mechanics.
  • Actively collaborate with Certification and Release managers in the Project Delivery team.
  • Align with stakeholders to secure transparency and clear communication for mathematical, technical, and operational matters.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a game mathematician with a proven track record.
  • Must be an EU citizen or hold a valid visa to work in the EU.
  • Deep understanding of the iGaming market and what makes games perform, especially from a math and mechanic perspective.
  • Strong understanding of player needs/preferences.
  • Understand what is needed by game developers/studios, platform developers, and what works in relation to successful game delivery.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, and have good communication skills.
  • Degree in a technical subject, such as mathematics/statistics, engineering, or computer science.
  • Interest and experience in mathematics, statistics, probability, and quantitative analysis.
