Hardware Test Engineer
Up to £25/hr PAYE dependent on experience

The Role
·Design connectors, housings, rigs, racks, and enclosures for test equipment.
·Build / assemble connectors, housings, rigs, racks, and enclosures for test equipment.
·Produce documentation (primarily drawings and wiring lists) for connectors, housings, rigs, racks, and enclosures for test equipment.
·Liaise with external equipment suppliers.

Resposibilities

·Review of customer and internal requirements.
·Select and design hardware to meet test specifications.
·Hardware build and commissioning.
·Sourcing of appropriate equipment and parts.
·Liaising and engaging with other departments, customers, and external test facilities when required.
 The Person Required:
·Minimum 3 years relevant experience (5+ years highly desirable).
·Knowledge of electrical standards.
·Knowledge of electrical safety and power distribution.
·Experience of UK test facilities and laboratories.
·Interpreting test standards, customer requirements and internal requirements.
·Proof of Concept / prototype build planning and execution.
·Problem solving, troubleshooting and attention to detail.

 Additional Advantageous Skills:
·Knowledge of CAD software especially SolidWorks
·Experience of simple CNC machining of faceplates.
·Any experience of 3D printing.
