This is an opportunity for an AAT Qualified or ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified candidate to join a growing, professional, family-owned services company based on the outskirts of Chipping Norton. Candidates should be acquainted with the financial requirements of a £2m-£5m turnover group of companies.
Hours are 20-25 hours/week in the modern office just outside of Chipping Norton. Candidates should live locally to Chipping Norton.
To date some of the Accounting work has been outsourced to a local practice, and the directors are now looking to bring that in-house. This is initially a part-time role with the potential to expand in time.
Main duties:
- Managing the bookkeeping/accounting to Trial Balance for the main and related companies on Xero
- Overseeing the payroll of the group, including liaising with the external payroll bureau
- Helping in the production of the year-end accounts
- Monitoring Sales invoicing and Debtors
- Assist in managing cashflow and forecasting supplier payments and customer receipts
- Assisting in budgeting for the companies
- Monitoring Capital Expenditure according to approved Budget
- Controlling expenses claims and cash floats in other sites
Experience in Xero, or alternative cloud based accounting systems, good attention to detail and a personable nature are required, as are a "can-do" attitude and the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment with minimal direction.
