My client is a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor.

They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis a Project Manager / Contracts Manager

They operate throughout Southwestern England and specialise in residential infrastructure projects for some of the UK's leading developers.

The Counties covered include Somerset, Avon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire.

Therefore, my client is ideally seeking an individual that resides in the region and with good access around the M4 / M5 corridor.

You will be taking on existing projects and new works in this region also.

You must be a driven individual with extensive experience within drainage, foundations, residential groundwork's and ideally S278 experience.

These projects are generally valued at between 1m and 10m.

Duties:

Management of the Project/Site Manager, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

Production of monthly reports Liaise with the Senior QS (Quantity Surveyor), Site QS.

Ensure production, review, and monitor the delivery of the project/site health, safety, environment & quality plans.

Develop effective relationships with the clients to maximise the perception & reputation of the business and secure profitable work.

Taking responsibility for a contract at handover from the estimator Plan & monitor resource requirements.

Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement and use of best practice.

Being the first point of reference for leadership site issues

Civil Engineering experience required:

Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering projects

HSE (Health and Safety Executive) legislation knowledge

Full driving licence

CSCS card Manager
