Housekeeper / Wardrobe Manager / Laundress - 38,000pa

The Burford Recruitment Company are working in partnership with a private household team at a prestigious estate in the picturesque countryside near Chipping Norton. Our long-standing clients are seeking an experienced and capable live-out Housekeeper with a focus on Wardrobe and Laundry Management.

As a key member of the private housekeeping team, your remit will be to prioritise wardrobe management and laundry, where your mastery of fine fabrics and impeccable attention to detail will shine. From organising and caring for luxurious garments and handbags to expertly handling seasonal wardrobe transitions, you'll be the trusted expert in this role! Secondary, you will seamlessly and skilfully support the housekeepers with the general upkeep of the property.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the principals' wardrobes with meticulous attention to detail
  • Packing and unpacking with care and attention
  • Handling laundry duties with expertise in caring for delicate garments and high value clothing, such as hand washing, silk, cashmere, and dry cleaning.
  • Performing general household upkeep when core duties are complete
  • Conducting deep cleaning sessions during the absence of the principals.
  • Providing care for valuable possessions
  • Assisting with inventory management
  • Monitoring and reporting any repairs or replacements
  • Some pet care, as required
  • Fulfilling errands as needed.

This permanent opportunity is typically 40 hours per week with occasional weekends (on a rota). Flexibility for some late finishes is also required.
