Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a unique and successful SME in Chorley to recruit a newly qualified Group Accountant. The role will suit an individual with a positive, pro-active mindset who is hungry to progress and become a future Financial Controller!The business are going through an exciting period of change and continued growth, in which the finance team plays a critical role in this transformation which has led to the need for a technically strong individual to enhance their skills.Responsibilities include:
Taking ownership of key financial reporting and financial control activities
Assisting with strategic responsibilities within the business to aid further growth
Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, whilst continuously seeking improvements to current processes, systems and controls
Business partnering across both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Month-end financial close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and intercompany reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of the group consolidated reporting pack, including sales and margin analysis, stock movement, aged stock analysis, and cash flow forecasts for the group
Assist with tax compliance activities, including VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and liaising with tax authorities.
Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting process

£50,000- £55,000 starting salary
