We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our client in Chorley.

Description

  • Actual Cost Audits: Collaborate with clients and their preferred partners to integrate data, verify contract cost spend, and ensure value for money for our main clients.
  • Management Accounts: Assist in the production of timely and accurate management accounts for all departments.
  • Monthly Journals: Post monthly journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Bookkeeping: Support day-to-day bookkeeping activities and provide cover during holidays.
  • Client Finance Requirements: Handle adhoc client finance needs, similar to internal ABS processes.
  • Business Development: Contribute to the growth and development of the finance function.
  • VAT Returns: Process VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • P11D Production: Produce and submit P11D forms.
  • Government Surveys: Complete National Statistics forms and other government surveys.
  • Bank Facility Management: Manage bank facilities with month-end reporting and reconciliations.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake other duties and projects as required.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • Part-qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Ambitious, results-focused, and eager to add value
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in relevant finance software and toolsal
