Located in Chorley, they cater to diverse clients ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations and governments, creating unique tools, products, and even life-saving medical machinery.Generally, your responsibilities will include examining drawing and specifications to ensure the right practices and procedures are followed. Working in a precision engineering environment you will have a thorough understanding of engineering processes and procedures and be well placed to positively advise your engineering colleagues.This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in projects that have a real-world impact, such as developing components for critical applications in aerospace, medical, and defence industries. As an employee, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your work contributes to projects that make a meaningful difference in various sectors.The Role:

  • Examine drawings and specifications to determine appropriate method and sequence of operations
  • Marks out reference points using measuring instruments
  • Operate hand and machine tools to shape workpieces to specifications and checks accuracy of machining
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering practices and procedures with an understanding of grinding
  • Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Maintaining effective communication with clients and engineering teams
  • Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm (Friday 12.30 Finish)
