We have an excellent opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team at Avon View.

Avon View is a residential home on the outskirts of Christchurch offering accommodation for 81 clients over 3 floors providing nursing, palliative, residential and dementia care. We work in a person-centred way providing support for people living with complex care needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting clients with personal care, nutrition and hydration.
  • Complying with Health and Safety requirements in respect of moving and assisting and the use of equipment.
  • Maintaining dignity, privacy and respect for our clients.
  • The ability to work flexibly across shifts including days, evenings and alternate weekends.

The successful candidate should have:

  • The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Empathy with the needs of the clients.
  • IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.

36 hours per week.
