GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with the UK’s leading manufacturer of Loading Bay Equipment. We are supporting their recruitment for a Production Welder to join their production team based in Cinderford, Gloucestershire.

This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Thursday 6.30am - 15.30pm and 6.30am - 14.15pm on Friday.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed individual to assist in the production of dock levellers and ancillary steel products for parts, installations and repairs, produced to specific customer requirements in accordance with the relevant British Standards, paperwork and drawings. In return, you will be offered a competitive salary of up to £33,280 dependant on experience.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate dexterity and have the ability to pick up new tasks quickly and be able to work to time frames and manage their workload efficiently.

Production Welder main duties:? Read drawings to determine & produce welded assemblies.? Rotate through all welding bays to increase knowledge & multitask.? Be flexible & able to move to other areas within the factory when required.? To maintain a high standard & quality of work? Ensure safe working practices at all times.? Responsible for good housekeeping in your own work area

Required skills and experience: ? Must have the ability to read & interpret engineering drawings.? Must be able to Mig weld (Tig welding experience is an advantage but not essential)? Must be able to use hand tools, grinders, air drills, etc.? Ideally, have worked in a similar production welding type environment.
