Our client, a global technology provider and distributor, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their Group Reporting team. This role is crucial for providing technical and controls expertise to support the wider company. The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant with experience in multi-currency environments and a history of managing external audit relationships.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Take ownership of EMEA inventory reconciliation and understand monthly variances.
  • Act as the group central subject matter expert on areas such as vendor price changes and shipped not billed orders.
  • Produce key reports and outputs to support the decision-making process.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Policies, including operating internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Play a significant role in the year-end process, including preparation of deliverables for external audits and acting as a key contact for auditors.
  • Review current processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies.
  • Prepare journals for the month-end close and manage risk through balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support junior members of the team and provide key support for the Group Financial Controller.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experience in companies operating in multi-currency environments.
  • A history of managing external audit relationships and projects.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with complex models.
  • Experience with multi-company consolidations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Power BI, and Hyperion is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work with large datasets.
  • Knowledge of best practice in processes and internal controls.
  • Team-player, able to work across finance and cross-functional teams globally.
