Role Overview: The Business Development Manager (BDM) will engage consultatively with clients to understand their security and business challenges. Using their knowledge and experience, the BDM will propose innovative solutions and services that enhance clients' security capabilities, maturity, and investment priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closure, including proposal writing and coordination with the technical team.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to refine value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Approach public sector customers, understanding key stakeholders and buying cycles.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, articulating both technical and non-technical concepts.
  • Deliver confident pitches and build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrate strong written communication skills, particularly in proposal writing.
  • Proactively manage multiple projects and pitches, setting up new sales processes as needed.
  • Sell highly technical products with confidence and clarity.

Core Responsibilities:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least 5 years of sales experience.
  • Extensive experience in winning clients within a Cyber Security company.
  • Experience with selling to Public Sector clients, ideally including the NHS
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience with deal sizes of £100k+.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with long sales cycles.
  • Proactive in seeking new business opportunities.
  • Capable of articulating a clear strategic approach to winning new business at the Enterprise level.
  • MEDDIC/MEDDPICC trained is a nice to have
