IT Support Technician

  • Reporting to: Head of IT Services
  • Location: Cirencester
  • Salary: £24k-£29k + Benefits
  • Type: 37 hours per week

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Cirencester.

Role Purpose

  • Quickly learn and adapt to the Helpdesk process. You will be resolving Helpdesk requests, exceeding customer satisfaction and closing tickets in line with our service level agreements, you will then continue to maintain and improve this standard.
  • Continually raise the standards within the IT Services department through providing first rate customer service, use good communication skills to understand client's issues, providing resolution and keep them informed of progress throughout.
  • During year one you will activity participate in the timely completion of defined change programmes such as software and hardware implementation, minimising downtime to clients

Responsibilities

  • Work flexibly with existing members of the IT Services team.
  • Ensure that you communicate effectively within the team, to make your responsibilities transferable.
  • Become accustomed to using a managed Helpdesk system and organise your work to meet the priority needs of the department.
  • Be able to quickly understand project requirements in order to develop relevant solutions.
  • Be able to work with a wide range of internal and external clients to develop effective relationships quickly in order to provide the best service possible.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience
  • IT related Qualification, i.e. MCSA/MCSE/CCNA
  • Level 2 Qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • You will have experience of supporting and configuring Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office products at various releases.
  • You may also have experience with Apple iOS operating system too.
  • You will be an effective problem solver, able to diagnose a range of IT related issues first time, ensuring the end-user has the best possible experience.
