Transport Manager

We have a position open for an experienced Transport manager for one of our clients in Cleckheaton.

The right candidate will have a Transport Manager CPC qualification with proven experience managing a team of drivers. A flexible approach to work will be an advantage - the main hours are Monday to Friday days but the occasional few hours on a Sunday will be required as well as scheduled periodical travel to 2 other sites( expenses covered)

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- to ensure legal operation of transport department of all 3 sites
- to operate within the agreed budget
- to continually maximise operations efficiency
- plan and schedule deliveries and collections efficiently and conforming to customer specifications
- work alongside Operations Manager and Finance Manager to achieve objectives
- ensure all vehicles are maintained and drivers compliant to EU and WTD rules and regulations
- undertake any appropriate training as necessary

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, attention to detail and must be happy to take a hands on approach to the role and be involved in the overall success of the business.
