Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Understand and assess customers' needs, providing appropriate solutions
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships through effective communication
  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Promptly communicate any service issues to customers
  • Maintain a complaints log, taking necessary corrective actions
  • Organise and file sales paperwork
  • Collaborate with shipping agents to facilitate smooth order transactions and deliveries
  • Keep the sales and warehouse teams informed of purchase order ETA's
  • Arrange timely shipments of European sales orders
  • Coordinate with the warehouse department to ensure timely product preparation
  • Update the sales team on any issues and provide daily updates on received goods
  • Ensure shipments comply with relevant regulations
  • Organise and file all purchase and customs clearance paperwork
  • Prepare and update shipping reports to track important dates and documentation
  • Provide customs clearance and delivery instructions to clearance agents and couriers
  • Communicate daily export collections to the warehouse
  • Update export documentation to meet regulatory requirements, including Brexit-related changes
  • Prepare necessary documents such as Certificates of Origin and EUR1's
  • Ensure products are dispatched with correct ADR documentation and labelling
  • Oversee sample requests and communicate approvals to relevant departments

Essential Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening ability
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to different personalities
  • Strong multitasking, prioritisation, and time management abilities
  • Experience in using a wide range of relevant IT packages
  • Proven customer support experience
  • Knowledge of shipping, imports and exports, and customs procedures
