Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers within their field. Their products are used in almost every major manufacturing company in the UK. Specializing in niche product ranges, they cater to a wide array of customers, from the smallest SMEs to the largest multi-nationals.

Our client requires a versatile, driven, mechanically biased design engineer capable of leading the development of a product range from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities of this Mechanical Engineer positon will include:

• Define and agree on specifications for the final product.
• Identify technical solutions
• Procure components and accessory parts.
• Design sheet metal for manufacture.
• Oversee final design and product release.
• Support production and sales teams during product launch.

You should be confident working with minimal supervision, while receiving as much support as needed throughout the development process.

Requirements to be considered for this Mechanical Engineer position:

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of product design experience.
• Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Proficiency in Inventor or Solidworks.
• Ideally, experience within the LEV or HVAC industries, or relevant transferable skills.
• Independent and self-motivated.
