We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a leading, multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Colchester. Our client carries out a variety of work across the commercial, health, education, defence and residential sectors and due to continued success are looking to bring on board an Intermediate Electrical Engineer.

Intermediate Electrical Engineer (Building Services) Position Overview
  • Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time and on budget.
  • Carry out fee earning work, getting involved in design of schemes where appropriate and particularly where high-level technical expertise is required.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the team leader including assisting in the formation of sound engineering, providing cost effective solutions.
  • Meet with clients to establish project brief and budget costs for client consideration.
  • Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client's briefs.
  • Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
  • Project manage site works from commencement to completion.
  • Monitor site works against specification and provide report to client and wider design team.
  • Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.
  • Report on project status for invoicing each month.
  • Work with the team to meet annual and monthly fee targets as directed by the office partner.
Intermediate Electrical Engineer (Building Services) Position Requirements
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Building Services Design Consultancy Experience is ideal
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Use of Amtech (Electrical) design software.
  • Use of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
