My Client based in Colchester are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to deliver an effective and proactive HR service. This role encompasses the full strategic and operational remit, including performance management, employee engagement, recruitment, and payroll oversight. The successful candidate will be a key business partner and a member of the senior management team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage and review the recruitment strategy, ensuring effective resourcing for all vacancies.
  • Execute a People Plan in alignment with business strategies in partnership with the Plant Manager.
  • Monitor and improve absence management in conjunction with line managers.
  • Oversee employee benefit schemes and liaise with pension scheme third parties.
  • Manage the induction process for new starters and ensure effective exit procedures for leavers.
  • Host biannual works council meetings and communicate with union representatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures in line with CIPD best practices.
  • Manage the annual pay review process and participate in group HR initiatives.
  • Produce HR data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure statutory and legal compliance across all HR functions.
  • Oversee the monthly payroll process in liaison with the outsourced payroll provider.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CIPD Qualified or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ plus HR Manager experience
  • Positive, diligent, and approachable with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages.
  • Proactive and effective HR Business Partner.
