A large and well established manufacturing company located in Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting Sheet Metal Workers on a temporary - permanent basis. These are to work on either a 6am to 2pm shift or 2pm to 10pm shift.
This role is paying between 14.27 - 15.19 per hour, depending on experience.
Working hours:
There are 2 shifts you could work on, as per below:-
- 6am to 2pm (14.27ph)
- 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday (15.19ph)
Duties in the role:
- As a Sheet Metal worker, you will be using spinning machines
- Reading from technical drawings where required
- Measuring and cutting materials to size using hand & power tools
- Operating of welding machines for joining sheet metal parts
- Perform quality checks on the finished products to ensure they meet the required standards
- Work closely with engineers and fabricators across the site
- Operating Rollers in the fabrication department
Candidate requirements:
- Diploma, apprenticeship or NVQ in engineering or similar
- Must be able to read from technical drawings
- Will have used fabrication equipment such as rollers press brakes and spinning machines
- Background using various hand/power tools and fabrication machinery is needed
