A growing engineering company located on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting for a Fitter to join their team.
This role is paying between 13 - 14 per hour and will be a temporary - permanent position for the right person.
This company have been established for over 10 years', have around 30 staff in total, have a large manufacturing facility and design & build bespoke equipment.
What does the position involve?
- As a Fitter, you will be required to read from technical drawings
- Mechanical fitting of bespoke products
- Basic Electrical installations and assembly
- This will be working in the yard and some of the duties can be physically demanding
- Bolting exhaust systems into place
- Using a counterbalance forklift to move equipment in the yard
- Installing generator sets where required
Candidate requirements:
- Background in metalwork or mechanical fitting
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Proficient user of hand/power tools
- Valid forklift licence
- Must be able to work within a team and to their own initiative

Hours of work:
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (30 minute lunch break paid) 8.5 hour day
