Salary: £23.35 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

A respected care provider is seeking a compassionate and skilled Senior Nurse to join their team in Coleford. The home offers high-quality residential, nursing, and respite care, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for residents and staff alike.

The Senior Nurse role is pivotal within the home, combining hands-on clinical care with leadership responsibilities. Working closely with the Home Manager, this role carries a particular emphasis on clinical nursing leadership, supporting and guiding the care team to deliver outstanding, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and supervise the nursing and care team to ensure the highest standards of nursing and personal care.
Provide clinical guidance and manage complex care needs within a person-centred framework.
Oversee nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Support the wellbeing of residents, ensuring dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Monitor and supervise care practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment for both residents and staff.

About You:
RGN or RMN with a current NMC PIN.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a care or clinical team.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and a commitment to best practice.
Skilled in, or willing to train in, a wide range of clinical areas including:
Medication administration
Catheterisation
End-of-life care
Verification of death
Syringe drivers
Gastrostomy care
Venepuncture
Diabetic care
Tissue viability
Epilepsy awareness
Sepsis awareness and deterioration management
A natural leader and role model with excellent communication skills.
Ability to inspire, support, and motivate colleagues to deliver outstanding care.
