We have a permanent shift Electrician role available within TATA Steel's Corby site. The successful applicant will be working with a multi skilled team and be responsible for conducting PPM activity alongside reactive maintenance activity.
Role: Shift Electrician
Location: TATA Steel, Weldon Rd, Corby NN17 5UA
Salary: 31,982 plus 15% shift premium (Total 36,779 rising to 37,586 following successful completion of probation period)
Shift Patterns: 15 shift pattern of 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday. You'll work a week of days 7am-3pm, a week of backs 3pm-11pm and a week of nights 11pm-7am.
Start: ASAP (pending medical)
Responsibilities:
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance
- Maintaining maximum efficiency of machinery
- Troubleshooting relay control circuits
- Recording preventative, corrective, breakdown and shutdown maintenance accordingly
- Interpreting electrical drawings
- Identifying and implementing improvement activity
- Adhering to high levels of Health and Safety at all times
Essential requirements:
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Electrical (NVQ, ONC, BTEC or equivalent)
- Experience with low voltage electrical systems, drives and PLC's
- Ability to fault find and conduct root cause analysis on electrical systems
- Experience working alongside multi skilled engineers
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Good IT literacy skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable requirements:
- Driving licence and use of a car
- Knowledge of SAP PM
